last day at 4

how would you spend the last day of your fourth year of life? if you're amelia grace, you spend it cleaning the pigsty that is your room.

she finally got it clean. i baked two dozen cupcakes. wrapped her presents. finalized birthday party plans. now it is off to bed so that i can function tomorrow at work. until tomorrow, enjoy the treats....

my big boy aidan

aidan michael has become quite the big boy lately. he no longer wants to sit in that high chair for babies...he wants to sit at the big table. he was having a little snack after his bath tonight and instead of going to his highchair, he went straight for the table. he climbed up on the bench seat all on his own and fed himself!! 20 months today and graduating college tomorrow...it seems like it happens just that fast. until tomorrow....

fish sticks and mac 'n cheese

so it is officially 2010 and january 1 brought a lazy day to the holt house. the day was spent in jammies; playing and reading. not a bad day, but not a lot going on either. travis had to work today (so sad for him) after i had thoroughly addicted him to jersey shore, but the rest of us got to stay warm inside.

we had fish sticks and mac 'n cheese for dinner. listened to some tunes on the ipod and back to bed. hopefully, this is an indicator of the year to come. no drama or angst, just calm and relaxed. i doubt it, but one can hope. until next time....

our dinner playlist:
  • "big green tractor" jason aldean
  • "heartbreak warfare" john mayer
  • "lucky star" madonna
  • "the man who can't be moved" the script
  • "whatever it is" the zac brown band
  • "i'm alive" kenny chesney with dave matthews

happy new year!!

it is officially about 2 hours into a new day, new year, new decade! 2010 is here!! i will definitely write more in the morning when i am perhaps a little more sober, but in the meantime HAPPY NEW YEAR!! i got to ring in the new year with my family, both immediate and extended, while watching the kids dance to the hoedown throwdown and the cha cha slide. life does not get much better than that! unfortunately, my camera was not handy for that. but now we are home, in our beds and i find myself just about to nod off. but i wanted to put this thought out into the universe: may 2010 bring health, wealth, and good fortune. may many blessings from GOD be granted and may we love one another, respect and cherish one another. i wish for laughter, hugs and kisses. until next time....sleep well and again HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
